Blas Hernandez

Blas Ibanez Hernandez, 73 of Alamore, Texas, passed away on September 8, 2017 in Sierra Blanca, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

Rosary was recited on Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn, Texas. Mass of Christian burial followed and was celebrated by Father

Blas was born in Alamore, Texas to Encarnacion and German Hernandez on June 7, 1944. He went to school at Alamore, Texas. He married Elvira Torres on January 23rd, 1964 in Van Horn, Texas. He worked many years at A1 - Getty Oil Construction. He was involved with Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church as a cruzista. Blas received a diploma from the University of Texas of the Permian basin, for his work in engineering with the oil companies.

Blas was preceded in death by his wife Elvira Torres Hernandes, his father Enacrancion M. Hernandes, his mother German I. Hernandes, his brothers and sisters Arturo Hernandez, Israel Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez, Elfida Rivera, Vicki Ramirez, Maria Mendez, Carolina Bustamante, and Lilia Balcazar.

Blas is survived by his children; Mauricio T. Hernandez and wife Lupe, Michael T. Hernandez, Ricardo T. Hernandez and daughter-in-law Laura Lopez, Olga H. Ruiz and husband Raymond. As well as his grandchildren Iris and Jasmine Ruiz, a and Brian Lopez Hernandez.
