Manuel Aragon Morales passed away on May 1, 2026, at his home in Sierra Blanca, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1951, in Sierra Blanca, Texas. Manuel was a loving Father to Joseph Lee Morales and Stephanie Morales Gomez. He had five grandchildren, Noah Gomez, Dorian Gomez, Joselyn Morales, Kalista Gomez and Kaylee Morales, and one great grandchild Devin Rodriguez. Manuel is survived by his brothers, Joe Morales, Jesus (Chuy) Morales, Carlos (Caco) Morales and sisters Elisa Salgado and Lucy Esparza. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Morales and Dolores Morales, brother Socorro Morales, and sisters Josefina (Fafi) Ramirez, Andrea Ramirez and Mary Cave.

Manuel graduated in 1969 from Sierra Blanca High School. He was drafted into the United States Army where he served for 3 years. He went on to start his career with Texas Department of Transportation where he retired as an Assistant Supervisor after 34 years of service.

Manuel was a very active and dedicated member at Our Lady of Miracles Catholic Church. He was one of the pillars of the Church and did anything he could to always be present and to help with whatever the Church needed. His faith in God shined throughout the church and was felt by all who knew him.

Manuel loved his children and grandchildren, often attending any events they had, including soccer, band, volleyball, basketball, track, and graduations. He never forgot birthdays or Christmas and loved spending 4th of July at home surrounded by his grandchildren. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

Manuel (Popo) will be greatly missed by Joseph, Stephanie, Noah, Dorian, Joselyn, Kalista, Kaylee, Janie, Belle, Amy, Devin, Caco, Joe, Chuy, Lisa, Lucy, his godchildren, nieces, nephews, and so many others whose lives he touched.

Services for Manuel Aragon Morales will be held at Our Lady of Miracles Catholic Church on May 15th, 2026. 10:00am viewing, 11:00am Rosary, 12:00am Mass, to be officiated by Fr. Sergio Legarreta. Burial will follow at Sierra Blanca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Noah Gomez, Dorian Gomez, Ian Pantoja, Alvaro Pantoja, Javier A. Calderon, Javier Urbina, Jr., Dominic Guy Kenimer and Lorenzo Pantoja. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Kenimer and David Arnold, Jr.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn.
