Manuela V. Head, 68, of Van Horn, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on November 16, 1957 in Van Horn to her loving parents, Antonio and Paula Vidana. Manuela grew up surrounded by the warmth and closeness of a large family. She was one of six siblings, she is survived by her brother Baltazar, her sisters Teresa, Victoria, and Maria. She is preceded in death by her beloved father Antonio, her brother Antonio Jr., and her grandson Alex Lopez whose memories she carried with her always.
A proud, fierce, and devoted mother, Manuela leaves behind her three children: Manuel Torres and his wife Patricia, Martha and her husband Adam Marquez, and Robert Head, her greatest joys, and the center of her world.
Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren: David Madrigal Jr., Aliyah Zubia, and Justine Torres. Each one held a special and irreplaceable place in her heart.
Manuela lived her life boldly, uncensored, and unapologetically. She was strong-willed, feisty when needed, and endlessly willing to help anyone in need. Her presence filled every room, sometimes with laughter, sometimes with tough love, but always with heart and an ironclad fist.
She dedicated over 20 years of service to her local Pizza Hut, becoming a familiar and cherished face within the community. In her later years, she worked with Home Instead in Abilene, Texas, providing compassionate in-home care for the elderly as a reflection of her giving and nurturing spirit.
After a long struggle with pancreatic cancer, Manuela’s body grew tired, and though she fought bravely, she no longer had the strength to continue. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and wrapped in the eternal love of God.
