Obituary

Erica V. Lopez, age 36 passed away on November 10, 2020, in El Paso, Texas. She was born on July 15, 1984, to Olivia Moreno and Fernando Lopez in Van Horn, Texas. Erica was a long-life resident of Van Horn. Erica was a fun person to be with, she was funny and always happy. She loved to say jokes and make everyone laugh; you never could tell when she was having a bad day.

She was always the life of the party. She loved to listen to Vicente Fernandez and country music. She was beautiful and always made sure she wore her favorite Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Lotion. She also was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and tried to not ever miss a game. She loved and made the best botanas and candied apples while she munched on ice. She loved to munch on ice.

Erica was a mother figure to her nieces and nephews, she was the best daughter, mom, sister, and friend anyone could have. She will be missed by everyone she touched.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her husband, Gerardo Nunez and her sons; William V. Mejia, and Gerardo V. Nunez Jr., her mother Olivia Moreno, her father Fernando Lopez, her grandparents Anastacio and Natalia Vejar, her sisters Amy Santos and Marissa Moreno and her brother Jesus Moreno Jr. Erica was also survived by her two uncles Jose Luis Vejar, Marcos Antonio Vejar and her aunt Diana V. Grimaldo. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Manuel Lopez.

A visitation for Erica was held at Heritage Funeral Home in Van Horn on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Funeral services for Erica were at the Van Horn Cemetery Gazebo with Pastor Juan Palacio of Pecos, Texas. Burial followed at the family plot. Pallbearers serving were; Marcos Antonio Vejar, Refugio Franco, Jesus Moreno, Herminio Lopez, Eloy Lopez, Sigi Lopez. Marc Lopez and Celso Morales.
