Ramon Mora

Ramon Mora, age 87, passed away on March 12, 2022, in Odessa, Texas. He was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Hipolito and Nazaria Mora on February 20, 1935.  Ramon was a lifetime resident of Van Horn.  He enjoyed being around his family and friends and horseback riding.  He was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed.

Those left to cherish Ramon’s memory are his sisters: Nina Apodaca, Maria Rodriguez, his brothers Jesus Mora, and Isabel Mora.

He is preceded by his wife Antonia Mora, his parents Hipolito and Nazaria Mora, and his brother Ascension “Chon “Mora.

A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church of Van Horn on Thursday March 17, 2022, officiated by Father Frank Hernandez.  The burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving were:  James King Jr., Luis Rodriguez, Omero Rodriguez, Jesus Apodaca, Francisco Adame, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Sebastian Adame, and Gabriel Apodaca.

Funeral services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
